Is that not a rather materialistic way of looking at it?
if you look at it that way, i suppose it would be. i wasn't approaching it from that angle, though.
i was thinking on a more abstract level. like, self-improvement, accomplishing goals, being the best that u can be and so on.

i think that's the smart way of thinking of things. yes, you may set yourself up for rejection, but you tend to succeed more when you have the confidence that its already yours.
